See part 4 of the programme for FLYING and PARAGLIDING DATES Fundraising Sunday Teas during the summer months served from the HQ in our scoutfield, Douglas House Meadow Dear Parents Selling Sunday Teas last year raised £1,492 , well worth the effort parents and Scouts put into it. Parents, usually two families turn up at 14.00 on Sundays, open up the premises and sell cakes and liquid refreshments, going home at 17.00. The whole family can turn out, children and dogs playing in the field. Would you please indicate which week or month your family would be available for teas. Thank you for your co-operation
Our main activity during the summer months is boating: on Friday evenings we arrive promptly at 18h00 for Scouts in our full uniform, then get dressed for boating on the Thames. After some fun on the river we go home at 21h00. We are still going boating in September - weather permitting. Troop meetings are on Fridays from 18h15 (for 18h30) until 20h30 in Douglas House Meadow, our scout field. The age range for Scouts is from 10 1/2 to 14 1/2. In addition to the weekly meetings, mainly during termtime, we also have special events and boating activities during weekends. During the winter months we do boat maintenance. Parents are welcome to join in, especially with the boating activities. If you would like to read more about previous meetings, go to Previous Meetings or look at Trips.
