The scouts have returned from their yearly walking trip on the Isle of Arran.

Nine scouts and cubs from Petersham and Ham Sea Scouts have visited the Isle of Arran for a week of walking. We had perfect weather and could do some walking from Sunday to Thursday. On Friday we did some volunteer work at Brodick castle.

We are planning to make a DVD with photos and a video. If you went along and have some photos that you would like to share please send them to Ronelle at pandhseascouts@googlemail.com

The Phoenix Scout troop had their latest Celebrity Dinner on the 26th of March 2010! They were once again very successful with their cooking and had compliments from their guests. The Ravens won the competition.

Take a look at the photos here.

The Phoenix Scout troop had a weekend camp to work towards their Navigator’s Badge. Richmond Park was used as our terrain.

Fundraising for the Vancouver trip - August 2010

Saturday, 13 Feb 2010

We had a fun evening doing some cooking with Pampered Chef utensils to raise money for our trip to Vancouver, Canada in August 2010. The Green Peppers and the Red Tomatoes demonstrated their cooking skills.

Thank you to all parents, scouts, cubs, commitee members, leaders, friends and family for your generous support!

See our photos here.

Pancakes!

The Phoenix Scout troop made pancakes last night. We used a quiz to enable us to fetch the necessary equipment and ingredients. Loads of fun to work out how to tie certain knots, who is the current Chief Scout, the name of a Royal Navy Submarine and many more questions!

We also had to vote on themes for boat names - results not out yet…

Unfortunately no photos this time. 12 Feb 2010

RN Swimming Gala 2010

We took a team of 6 scouts to HMS Raleigh in Plymouth. They all did very well in their individual races. One of our team came third in the breastroke under 14 race, competing against many other scouts.

We came second in line throwing - competing against 24 other teams!

Well done to the swimming team!

See our photos here.

5 - 7 Feb 2010

The Phoenix Scout Troop worked on a banner for the troop under the expert guidance of Amy.
