White Water Rafting at Tryweryn

By popular request, we are arranging to go Rafting at Tryweryn in the early part of the Autumn term (possibly September 22/23rd or a day in half term?).

The big rafts hold 7 plus the instructor, and a 2-hour session costs about £45 each in a full boat at weekends. If we went during half term during the week, it would be about £33 each in a full boat.

Alternatively you can go in smaller 2 man rafts, with the instructor following you in a kayak, and this looks like it works out at £35 each for a 3.5 hour morning or afternoon session.

Finally, if rafts don’t float your boat, then come for the fun and kayak the rapids instead!

We would probably aim to stay at the Pen-isar-llan bunkhouse again, as Patricia’s made us feel especially welcome last time, and the bacon butties were to die for!

Total trip cost might be in the region of £90 including travel, fuel, food, rafting and 1 night stay, but could be £10 cheaper if we rafted during the half term week.
