Yay… SUN RUN SUN RUN SUN RUN.
Minivans have been sequestered, tentative bookings have been made, it’s happening! The infamous and hugely entertaining Sun Run camp for Network and Explorer folk 15 years and over is happening again over the weekend of 6–8th of July 2007. The CWV (Current Working View - business term) is that those going in the ETR Magical Mystery Bus should gather at Dunscoutin (James’ place) as near to 4pm as possible on Friday the 6th. Don’t be late, and bring something to eat for the journey. Check you kit lists for wet weather gear, appropriate footwear (STYN) and gear for the walks. Please try and bring safety gear or you may have to buy it on the day. If you have lost or eaten your forms, there are online ones here, but you MUST bring your health and permission to camp form signed by an adult. This is the list of Erik the Red members and friends that I am working with. If something is wrong here, either omission or duplicate/clone etc, let me know immediately! ETR

The cost for the camp for full ETR members (who are paying their Summer term subs) is £35 again, despite the ravages of inflation elsewhere in the economy. For ETR alumnae (who are not paying subs anymore) there is an additional charge of £10 to cover your share of tentage and leader wear and tear. Note: full uniform is not required, but you should wear your ETR t-shirt. Replacement ones cost a very reasonable £6. This is the first bash at a tentative team list, along with some team names to kick us off:
Total: 18

The last Sun Run/Moon Run camp happened over the weekend of 8–10th of July 2005: Congratulations to all who went for partying hard, played commentable football (both 5 a side and human tabletop versions) and specifically to Alex, Ben and Anthony who finished the arduous 13 mile night hike in 3 hours 35 minutes, and to Georgia, Lucy, Heward and James who finished in 4 hours 22 minutes. Prizes of blister plasters all round! Full results list and official blurb here
