Christmas Party - 2 December 2011

Dear Parents, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Exploers

Our “Parents’ Get Together” was a very happy occasion in keeping with the spirit of Christmas coming!

Thank you to all of you who supported the evening. A special thank you to the handbell team. With the help of Betty Carter our Scout Group Treasurer they gave a very credible performance at St. Peters Church. Thank you to Frances for leading the service and to Len for playing the organ.

Emma and Martin Gibbons organised the Promises Auction. We raised a total of £736, a very welcome sum towards the New Phoenix scout building project and the Vancouver camp fund 2013.

Thank you to all who gave promises for the auction, brought food to share and prizes for the raffle The raffle made £62. We were pleased that Alex, one of the Explorers brought his sound system for playing music.

A very special thank you to the Driskell and the Pantling families who stayed behind to wash and sweep up after the party.
